Do Car Sun Shades Work

cancer pregnant and release of Saharawi Singer Mariem Hassan on a cultural festival in the occupied areas of the Sahara

Mariem Hasan On behalf of Saharawi artists and we are outraged by the presence in the "Festival Dakhla Morocco" in different and renowned international artists some of which, as the case of Ojos de Brujo have been made at various times as
solidarity with the Saharawi cause.

This festival is just an attempt to undermine Morocco's cultural identity and misrepresent the true Saharawi political situation suffered by the city of Dakhla and all the territory occupied Western Sahara. In my name I remember all the artists in the occupied areas of the Sahara
experiencing a situation of harassment and terror among the civilian population of Western Sahara, more than 50 Saharawi political prisoners in Moroccan prisons, and even today we still do not know the whereabouts of more than 500 Saharawi disappeared.

deeply regret the presence of these artists working with Morocco in this festival, which is nothing but a farce that uses cultural alibi for claiming the Moroccan presence in the Sahara, contrary to international law.
Dakhla is a busy city, where the Saharawi civil population suffers a brutal repression for 35 years, being particularly isolated because it is a peninsula in the south of the Saharan territory. This is a war zone, with the presence of UN peacekeepers and occupied by a regime, the Moroccan, who does not respect human rights as has been reported by different international organizations, and closes the territory to the press and observers fair not to know the reality that the Sahrawi in the occupied areas.

I call for these artists to reconsider their decision and not participate in the "Festival Dakhla Morocco, and especially the group Ojos de Brujo known for their support to the Saharawi cause. Mariem Hasan
