Finally! Introducing the new and expected kinematics Lounge, called "Mondo Lounge" for this twelfth volume, has as a goal the easy-listening music, bossa nova and lounge all over the world. From Italy, France, Spain, Germany, England, Japan, USA, Belgium, Romania ... A journey where we can enjoy all the variants of this beautiful and elegant music, sung in different languages, which shows that the lounge does not belong to anyone but the entire world.
Before going into the disk itself, which will later comment more extonso, cut court, would speak of the roots of this new volume and how the idea.
the early 60's, a new trend began to build in the world of cinema, mainly the European and consisted of "teaching" as a documentary (or not) different "landscapes" of real world people and customs dela very different points on our planet was a way to see first-hand and very real (first) and large screen other cultures which almost never had access. In this area outperformed the movie "Mondo Cane" which achieved tremendous success worldwide, showing just all the cultural richness as wild as this. This
way, was followed by many movie style, which also emphasized "La Donna Nel Mondo", which, similarly, we could see the role that women had in different countries and regions of the world, producing a brutal contrast , with use the soundtrack excellent.
In a kind of tribute to that era, came the inspiration for this "Mondo Lounge" because he believed he had to teach and to inform people that this music came not only from one country (Italy is that more cnn I have represented in our series, long), but in many countries of the world also made good music and this volume is proof. Without further ado, we turn to discuss the CD, which consists of 27 cuts.
***
start the trip in an Alitalia plane bound for Rome, from the movie "Avanti!" By Billy Wilder. I must say that this volume also like to pay tribute to that wonderful movie, including excerpts of it for this first cut as well as for the last, finishing the album. Once inside the plane, start the opening credits of the movie, and, well, our record, which can not be with another song that one of the main melodies of the film, "Senza Fine" by Gino Paoli, in arranged by Carlo Rusticcheli movie and here in the rare version of Daniela House.
Italy
Wonderful and incredibly rare 7 "single released in the Italian Fonit, arranged Daniela House and orchestra directed by Enrico Simonetti in 1963. Wonderful bossa-samba with a large scat at the end. bossanova precursor of the Italian style in that year 63 was beginning to take shape.
Migliardi Mario feat. Carol Danell Torna
Italy
Another oddity Italian Fonit precisely the same, this time the song is sung and compuestapor Carol Danell, directed by Mario Migliardi and his orchestra. The theme combines English with Italian parties ("Come Back, My Love") and has some very good arrangements (especially violins) with a cinematic aura beautiful.
Greek rare's soundtrack for the movie Kostantinou Giorgos' Man For All The doings "of 1966, where we find this terrible bossanova with great pace at which dominates the flute in a manner reminiscent of Italian bso the same time.
Aura Urziceanu
Nu-Mi Cere Sa Cint
Romania
One of the most beautiful surprises I've had lately has been to discover this very rare LP Romanian Urziceanu Aura, called "Jazz Seara cu Aura" brutal songs style jazz, modal jazz, groove, bossa nova and swing, which shows his great skills Aura in the scat. Awesome!
Izumi Kimoto
Someone Somewhere
Japan
One of the best songs of this volume is that " Someone somewhere "(literal translation of Japanese title) of Japan Izumi Kimoto. This bossanova sung in Japanese with several scat and choirs also shows that the Japanese knew very well do things with a high quality in his compositions. This beautiful melody that deserves an honored place in the Lounge kinematics, is shown.
Yamamoto Hozan
Twenty Ten
Japan
Hozan Yamamoto is probably the most recognized musician
Sakuhachi Japanese, a kind of flute very popular for Asian lands. This is a bossa-jazz cut a Bach theme, which dominates the leak. The amazing technique Hozan with Sakuhachi is reinforced with incredible small jazz band with harpsichord, guitar and drums. It sounds really neat!
Hide & Rossanna
Waves Between Japan
Hide and was a couple incredibly Rossanna popular in Japan in the 60's. This odd couple Italy, Japan made great pop albums, melodic and jazz. Among them is extremely delicious' Holiday In Italy "that can be drawn from numerous and beautiful bossanova cuts, but I stay with this delicious topic, "Between Waves!
USA
Quincy Jones began to gain popularity the 60's, with some really good work, perfectly orchestrated soundtracks, some reminding teachers and Henry Mancini. One of his most surely will be remembered "The Italian Job", which underlined the bossanova "On Days Like These."
Les Baxter
Boca Chica
USA
Court
extracted from the album "Mango!" the great Les Baxter, probably one of the greatest composers who has had music-listenting Easy Lounge or never. For this album, was accompanied by the powerful 101 Strings Orchestra, and the result is one of his best albums, full of nuances and details in the arrangements with strings that have rarely sounded better!
Keith Mansfield Floating
Bossa
came to England and we ran great composers of soundtracks and music library. One is Keith Mansfield, a real monster of the composition. Therefore, we selected two of its jewels: the first the "Floating Bossa", the title makes it very, very clear about what we're going to find! The violins are on another level.
Keith Mansfield
Green Room UK
The second cut is called "Green Room" and it is really comforting to hear a great melody with many instruments involved especially the winds, trumpets, trombones, flutes and especially the saxophone, which calls the shots. Perfect from beginning to end, the issue is a clear demonstration of the bossanova made in England.
Del album "Yummy, Yummy, Yummy" by the actress / singer Jolie London, we find this "Like To Get To Know You", a Part of extreme delicacy and elegance, easy arrangements of the best English (London Touch "). Remember a little to the issues of Burt Bacharach, and she maybe Nancy Wilson. Best listen for yourself!
Syd Dale Orchestra
The Winslow Boy
UK
What to say about Syd Dale, probably the best United Kingdom composer! The real monster English music library. Play song is a treat for the ears: you can really improve those winds? I doubt it!
Neil Richardson
The Riviera Affair UK
Many qualify this as one of the best easy-orchestral themes of history. Everything about him is perfect: winds, strings, percussion ... air theme perfect cinematic. There really is not much to say about this masterpiece.
Chakachas Les Bossa Fashion
Belgium
If you'd asked the nationality of this group, probably few have said they are from Belgium. Less intuitive when you also sing in English, as in this brilliant 'Bossa Fashion. " And the bossa nova was popular in 1963 ... and in 2011 still is!
The Addy Flor Orchestra
Bleib '
Germany The Addy Flor was one of the best German orchestras, who composed, along with many others of the same style this style so characteristic of music library with predominant winds in this "Bleib '", a bossa nova sung in German that we find it delightful to the ears, despite not understanding a word!
Hildegard Knef
Too Bad
Germany
Hildegard Knef, one of the German muse 60, delights us with his unique style (very Germanic) with this bossa beautiful as well orchestrated, sung in English and German. Really elegant.
Perfect sample of what we called German music library, this great matter of Richie Hillman is a breakthrough in the music lounge is not only Germany, but worldwide. Was chosen to open the trailer for this volume, for its elegance, strength, Grandis winds and best choirs. Someone is asking for more?
At the wheel of a Fiat 124 Spider, we went to France, or more biennial the Franco-Italian border, for this very rare Armando single Trovajoli is composed and sung by Sophia Loren in ... French! And we find it so, so good we had to include whether or if. So elegantly together is hard to beat.
We face a single with the classic French twist, that could well have signed Philippe Sarde. In this case, Orlane Paquin actress sang the theme Goraguer Alain and his melancholy and cinematic take us directly to another world. This is a very unknown that deserves recognition!
Sola
Hey Mom, Hey Dad
Spain
This issue, originally from Jeannette, what version of "Alone" that I only know that it was Manuel Alejandro. What at first seems a simple song with lyrics very innocent, turns out to be an issue much more complex than it seems, and this version, with orchestral arrangements and the sweet voice of the girl, outperform the original version by far. Delicatessen!
Josep Maria Andreu feat. Salome
Sóc Molt Poca Cosa
Spain
This theme of Josep Maria Andreu and lleó Borrel was one of those who wrote for Salome (one of which was 2 nd in the song festival, Mediterranean 1967) and Jacinta also own versions later. This is one of the most beautiful bossanova ever made in Spain. Sung by the popular Catalan Salome, notable for the brilliant arrangements for winds and the beautiful lyrics and melody. A rarity to find out!
Alfonso Santisteban
Soledad (Scat Version)
Spain
We are facing one of the 7 most wanted world, which contains two masterpieces for the film Alfonso Santisteban "Teaching a scoundrel." This is a milestone both for the incredible jazz scat "persecution" as the bossa nova "Soledad", presented here in its version scat, as previously Alfonso had already made more vesion of this topic. With a style to Piero Piccioni this is one of the best cuts produced in Spain!
Gianni Ferrio
Gianni Ferrio made an album called "Come Back To Rome" on the 1968, which Italian lira included a throw to the Fontana di Trevi yourself! Apart from this detail, the single to be released album, includes a large scat bossa theme "Roma Ro '" and this more melodic "Come Back To Rome" in the purest Italian style but with a touch orchestral lounge we like!
Giorgio Casellato feat.
Giorgio Gaber and Ombretta Colli
Il Sapore Della Vita In Due
Italy
Angel 'Pocho' Gatti feat. Lilian Terry
Mille Parole D'Amore
Italy
We
one of the highlights of the volume with this "Mille Parole d'Amore" sung by Lilian Terry (jazz singer) , with music composed and directed by Angel 'Pocho' Gatti. I'll be frank: we face one of the most beautiful and best bossanova made made. In the world. The beautiful lyrics are reinforced with superior instrumentation and arrangements brimming with quality. Lilian is overcome with some scats-stopping and put goosebumps. Masterpiece!
Carlo Rustichelli
Finale (from "Avanti!" OST)
Italy
We arrived at the sad and melancholy end of our long journey the world with the orchestral version by Carlo Rusticcheli, preceded by a dialogue of the movie Avanti, which serve as a farewell of the volume. We got away by helicopter while sounding the bars of "Senza Fine" and that does not tell us otherwise, that our musical journey discovering new and beautiful songs no end.
I hope you liked the extensive commentary on the disc and ask all of you who bajeis the CD, which opineis on in the comments area. No I can only thank those who give me support to continue making these collections of music, well worth the deal we are giving and that historically has been in second place, earning the first with all law. Thanks.
