Raider Of The Lost Ark Blog is pleased to offer and present the new volume of his acclaimed series Lounge Cinematica that for the eleventh and new volume collects the name of "COCKTAIL SCENE" .
For this new volume, we wanted to turn around, slight but noticeable, the musical line that came to be common in the series, leaving aparcadala elegant Italian or European bossanova to delve into the intricacies of music and environmental cocktail, or whatever it is, the more sensual and elegant jazz with touches of lounge, bossa, 'big band' and swing.
The volume is a great tribute to an era and a lifestyle that, as a MacGuffin, I represented as a room of cocktails and spirits. Smoke-filled rooms, semi darkness, people who came and went, ladies of dubious reputation, some very smart, lonely men who only sought some company, if only with a drink in hand, listening to good music as background music. The cocktail was the best representation of that time we wanted to revive.
An accompanying music, but no less important or lacking in quality, but, on the contrary, the 22 selected cuts passed many, many masters, with the help of teachers of composition as Henry Mancini, Lalo Schifrin, Alessandro Alessandroni, Johnny Williams, while other less known as Bob Dickson Frank Pidgeon or Ole Jensen among others.
The trailer is another tribute to those films of the 60 in those who had "minifilms" within the film itself, explaining various cartoons or singularities of the same character. In this case, our protagonist is 4: Kirsten, Nicole, Baxter and read. All, at first sight very distant, have a common link: the loneliness of their lives, which will be enriched not only by the stylish glass of dry martini, but also of the music.
Returning to the volume itself, you will see that for the first time in the series Lounge kinematics, we 2CD. The first would be the classic compilation, with songs linked a other through dialogues of films like "Days of Wine and Roses," "The Apartment," "Charade," "The Pink Panther," "The Spy Who Came in from the cold" or "The Graduate." Let me say or rather, to thank those great voice actors, in the 60 and 70 and most made in the legendary studio in Barcelona Spain Voice, the great work they were doing and, in some points, improved the original. Is that the issue of dubbing is very hot right now and not just to throw roses, but worth it from here, abundant proof that a good dub is possible if you have good actors (in Spain there are any), good distribution and good direction. Unbalanced But we most importantly, music. As I said, this time you will find two CDs, the first with the mixed and the second session, with all the cuts separately, so all you may do your own Cocktail Scene in your living room, car or even a bar, where the noise the glasses, the hum and the dialogs and you will put you, what is most important.
