Hello everyone. First of all I would like to apologize to everyone for few updates lately I'm doing the blog, really I have no excuses, and apart from the kinematics Lounge series, from now on I will try to relaunch a little blog because it is a little "dead."
Well, what I will tell you today has nothing to do (in part) with music but with the film. With the cinema with capital letters. Those who live in Barcelona (or near) are in luck, because last Thursday, 16 December presented a new proposal by the Catalan director Nacho Cerda, called
Phenomena: The Ultimate Cinematic Experience project consisting of a double movie session of 70 and 80 (in 35mm prints!) in the temple of cinema in Barcelona, \u200b\u200bUrgel cinema with a capacity of more than 1800 people.
Yes, you read correctly. From now on, we will be able to enjoy once a month, and BIG screen of movies like Indiana Jones, The Thing, The Wars, Dressed to Kill, Rocky, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Shining , The Exorcist, The Goonies, etc etc etc. And all for the modest price of 8 € for the two sessions.
The real reason for creating all this is to recover the "spirit" of the past two sessions, both in the films and in the environment that was present in the room. On Thursday December 16 we could enjoy with Tiburon (1975) and Allen (1979) and attest that it was one of my most enjoyable times in a movie theater, but the more, and that is, make no mistake, current cinema is NOTHING compared to what it was.
But, and here is where I also wanted to reach not only the films (as I said, in perfect condition 35mm prints) but before announcements were sent to each of the time (years 70) and trailers other films, which helped greatly to transport you directly to that era. I loved the ads they put before Tiburon, one of an 8mm camera really funny, one from a savings bank and the last of Martini, amazing, would give anything just to see and poderoslo teach. The trailers were put "The Devil on Wheels", "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," Apocalypse Now, "Rocky," "Futureworld", "Dressed to Kill" y. .. "Airplane" where there was a spontaneous tribute to Leslie Nielsen, who no doubt deserved. Here you can see a mini-story of that night, very emotional and well done (and what to expect!):
No more, strongly recommend that those who like good cinema, you come to these sessions, which no doubt will do and in fact, are already making history in city Barcelona. A unique opportunity to see large screen (the best screen in Barcelona and probably in Spain) the classics that gave us so much satisfaction that we like the seventh art. The next session will be on 13 January (2011 of course) in the Urgel and will be screened: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom + The Thing! to lose. Tickets are already available in advance through Servicaixa and the same movie ticket. Do not fire you because, frankly, I expect full historical in Urgel.
PS: As you noticed, I updated, after a long time the main blog poster, I hope you like it.
